మన గ్రామానికి అల్లుడు , ప్రముఖ న్యురాలజిస్ట్ శ్రీ ఆడిపూడి రంగనాధరావుగారు 18. 12. 2014 న దివంగతులయ్యారు. మన గ్రామానికి చెందిన డాక్టర్ యార్లగడ్డ యశోధర గారిని వివాహం చేసుకున్నారు. మన రాష్ట్రంలో తోలి కిడ్నీ ఆపరేషన్ చేసిన వ్యక్తిగా రికార్డులకెక్కారు. ఆయన అంత్య క్రియలు హైదరాబాదులో జరగనున్నాయి.
Professor A. Ranganadha Rao M.B.B.S., M.S., M.Ch., D.Sc. (born 11 April 1930) is an
Indian urologist. He is the first Urologist from Andhra Pradesh and the first person to
perform Transplantation of Kidney in Andhra Pradesh.
Career
He is native of Pithapuram, East Godavari district. After primary education there, he joined P. R.
College, Kakinada for Intermediate course.
He is graduated from Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatnam in 1952. He has won Anderson
Gold Medal in Anatomy and Dr. Bhaskar Menon Prize in Pathology during his medical career. He
has joined Andhra Pradesh Government Health Services in 1956. He did post-graduation (M.S.)
in Surgery from the same college in 1962. He continued the Government service. He did
Masters degree in Urology from Christian Medical College, Vellore in 1969.[1] He is one of the
first Urologists of the country and the first to specialize in Urology from the state of Andhra
Pradesh.
He has worked as Assistant Professor of Surgery in Andhra Medical College between 1962 to
1970. He was Professor of Urology in Osmania Medical College between 1970 to 1983. He was
also Honorary Consultant in Urology at Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences. During his long
illustrious service, he has established the first Urology department in Osmania Medical College
in 1970 and started Post-graduation Cource in Urology in 1980. His team has successfully
performed the Transplantation of Kidney in Osmania General Hospital in 1982 for the first time
in Andhra Pradesh.
He has more than 25 years of experience in Undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. He has
been to many Indian Universities as an Examiner to Post-graduate students in Urology. He has
presented about 35 oral presentations in the National Urology conferences. He has published
about 12 scientific papers in Indian Journal of Urology. He chaired several Scientific sessions in
National conferences of Urological Society of India.
He held the positions of Honorary Secretary, Vice-President, President-Elect and President of
the Urological Society of India from 1982 to 1989.
He has founded Hyderabad Institute of Urology in 1994 along with some other Urologists in
Hyderabad.[2]
He was awarded the Doctor of Science (Honoris Cause) by N.T.R. University of Health
Sciences at 13th Annual Convocation on 13 March 2009.
Spouse Details
Late Prof. (Dr) Y.Yashodhara Devi was a retired professor in Obstetric and Gynecology at
Government Maternity hospital (GMH osmania) Hyderabad. She was born on August 3rd at
Nuzivid Krishna District. She struggled again the society to become the one of the leading
female gynecology of that era. She got married to Dr.A.Ranghanadha Rao on 24th August 1956.
They had two sons (Late) A.V.Ram Kumar and A.V.Ravi Kumar.
They are survived by Dr.A.V. Ravi Kumar.

He has delivered the "Dr. H. S. Bhat Oration" and spoke on Endourology in 1996.[4]
